Week 3 likely left many fantasy owners fretting about the next couple weeks in regards to the “bottom of their order”. Jeremy Shockey (sports hernia) is M.I.A. for the next 4-to-6 weeks, Jason Witten missed the end zone for the third straight game, the Pats D might as well have sat out a 38-13 loss to Miami, and the immortal Adam Vinatieri has just three field goals this season.

But fear not. With the bye weeks looming ahead in this weekend’s forecast, here are some suggestions on how to stay dry when injuries, draft busts, and inconsistent performances threaten to rain out a Week 4 victory. Following Week 2, many fantasy owners are looking for ways to compensate for the fact that they have Jeremy Shockey, Shayne Graham, and the Chargers D/ST in their starting lineups. If your ‘08 draftees are proving to be big time busts, be sure to pick up some of these possible solutions before setting your roster for Week 3.
